How to Receive Free Healing Prayers and Blessings for Yourself and Your Loved Ones

August 23, 2015 by stas | 2 Comments | Filed in Health, Metaphysical

BlessingsI’ve just discovered that there are quite a few kind individuals and organizations out there that offer free healing energy, prayers, and blessings to those in need (humans and even their pets). All you need to do is to submit the name of the recipient-in-need, and some also request their location in the world and email address. So if you or someone you know is going through a difficult time why not ask for help. The only cost is your time submitting those requests. Not bad. You have little to lose if it doesn’t work, but so much to gain if it does!

If you are in doubt that these offers would do any good please read Lynne McTaggart‘s “The Intention Experiment: Using Your Thoughts to Change Your Life and the World“.

Please note that some of the free offers found online have strings attached as they require you to disclose a lot of personal information such as full address and phone number, and some require you to fill out a form with 20 fields – seriously? That sounds very dubious to me and while I haven’t proceeded with those offers to validate their sincerity — my hunch is that those free offers would potentially back-fire with the “kind” folks trying to sell you something and/or convert you into their belief system without you asking for it. So this list sticks to the true “free” offers, where all that’s asked is a person’s name and optionally their location. Some offers ask you for more information but only optionally and still allow you to remain relatively anonymous.

How to Fast For Health; Why Fasting Helps; How to Break the Fast

August 7, 2015 by stas | No Comments | Filed in Food, Health

Fasting For HealthThis is a little gem I found today in a 2nd hand book shop. Written by Hereward Carrington, Ph. D. at the beginning of the 19th century— it’s still totally relevant today. Scanned, OCRed, proofread and formatted for your easy reading by yours truly. Enjoy.

Nature’s Law Of Cure

Man does not live as long as he should: Most deaths are premature. We not only cut short our lives, but the years we do live are filled with sicknesses and diseases of all kinds. Statistics and common observation prove this. Something is wrong. I am convinced that this is chiefly due to our methods of living—our habits of life, and particularly our food habits. We eat the wrong kind of food, and too much of it. Over-eating is the great curse of humanity. It is responsible for many of the ills from which man suffers. Whenever we become ill, we are accustomed to take a “tonic” or a medicine, — under the false impression that health can be “bought in a bottle. ” Such is not the case. We become sick because there is a definite cause for our sickness, and in order to become well again we must remove this cause. This can usually be done by the simple methods described in this Little Blue Book.

112 Ways to High States of Consciousness Without Doing Anything Special

June 27, 2015 by stas | 3 Comments | Filed in Metaphysical, Spiritual

Vijnana-Bhairava-Tantra Vijnana Bhairava Tantra (VBT) is a little known practical gem coming from a very old tradition of Kashmir Saivism. It suggests 112 ways out of which any person on this Earth can find at least one suitable for their own personal enlightenment, and most likely they don’t need to do anything different from what they have been doing all along, other than adding one “little” thing to their daily routine. By enlightenment we mean remembering/recalling/discovering that they are divine, that they are not separate, but one with creation. Equally the unenlightened state is when that truth of their true state is concealed from them.

Just like we have many psychological systems that divide us into various archetypes, personalities, etc., the wise yogis of Kashmir found that each person has an aptitude for one or several techniques that – should they practised those – they will start having glimpses of the universal and transcendental states of consciousness and eventually fully remember who they are.

Three Men Die and Go to Heaven…

April 3, 2015 by stas | No Comments | Filed in Humour

Surprisingly there aren’t that many jokes around someone dying and going to heaven or hell, here are a selected few:

Three men die and go to heaven!

When they get there St. Michael is waiting to welcome them at the pearly-gates. As the men walk up, one looks through the gates and notices that heaven is really far far away. So one of the men asks…

“Why is heaven so far away?”

St. Michael “Well God came up with this idea. Move heaven far far from the gates, and those who were really good in life get a nice fast vehicle to get there and those who were not get something very slow”

One of the men “So what do we have to do?” Read the rest of this entry »

How I Tested For And Rid My Body of Mercury Toxicity

April 5, 2014 by stas | 51 Comments | Filed in Health, Physical

get-rid-of-mercuryWhile researching several health issues, including headache migraines that I’ve been suffering from for years, I stumbled upon the little known issue of heavy metal toxicity, mercury in particular, and its chelation. Little did I know how deep that rabbit hole goes. I spent many weeks reading books, forums and expert sites on the subject and once I understood what I needed to do — I acted on this issue. I decided to share my notes with you. I’m not trying to convince you of anything, other than sharing what I found resonating with me and what I did about it. And as they say YMMV.

Why Should You Care?

Most people are unaware that they are loaded with heavy metals which affect their health in many subtle and not so subtle ways. Some incredibly debilitating diseases can be developed in an environment of a body with a suppressed immune system, as heavy metals excel at accomplishing just that – compromising the immune system by disrupting metabolism and essential minerals transport through the body.

The effects can be of having migraine headaches, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer, Lyme and various other autoimmune diseases, damaged bones, lungs, liver, kidneys, the cardiovascular and gastrointestinal (GI) systems, make the body more susceptible to cancer, etc. To make things even worse — unfriendly bacteria thrive in bodies with a compromised immune system and are very difficult to eradicate. Some sources suggest that certain bacteria possess mind control abilities and it’ll drive its host to perform activities that will result in ingestion of heavy metals, so that it’d be easier to make the immune system even weaker and for bacteria to establish a stronghold.

There is a long list of very useful to us elements, which become very detrimental to us if they end up being inside of our bodies. This list includes: Aluminum, Antimony, Arsenic, Beryllium, Bismuth, Cadmium, Lead, Mercury, Nickel, Platinum, Thallium, Thorium, Tin, Tungsten, Uranium and some other elements.

March 5, 2014 by stas | 7 Comments | Filed in Health, Physical

To Have, or Not to Have [a headache]

headache and migraine relief by a nurse

If you have been suffering from headaches and migraines for a significant amount of time and you’re reading this article — chances are that you haven’t found something that works sufficiently well for you to have a better, headache-free daily life experience. I have been on this searching path for many years now, sometimes giving up for long periods of time, then getting inspired again to try and find the elusive cure for my headaches, which can be really bad at times. What I found in my research is that there are so many different kinds of headaches and migraines, and migraine-headaches out there, with many different triggers and causes. And therefore not all cures or coping techniques work the same way for different people – what works for one person may not work for 99 others.

The important thing is not giving up and keep on trying new ideas. When you read through this article you will be astonished to discover many many many ways of dealing with headaches that you have never heard of, some would sound very ridiculous, yet there is at least someone out there for whom those odd methods did bring if not cure, but at least a very sought after relief. SCENAR and COSMODIC Researched For You, So You Won’t Have To

March 1, 2014 by stas | 53 Comments | Filed in Health

Cosmodic VX735AgWhile researching modern electro-magnetic medicine technologies I stumbled upon a biofeedback technology called SCENAR, which stands for Self-Controlled Energy Neuro-Adaptive Regulator. This technology originates from Russia’s cold war years and was a secret until Perestroyka came and at which point it was declassified and became available to the mere mortals.

The Gist of This Paper

If you’re in a rush and would like to get a visual gist of the article, here is this article represented as a word cloud, where words that appear more frequently in text are represented by a larger font.

wordle scenar cosmodic word cloud

This word cloud was made with a cool free wordle tool by Jonathan Feinberg by feeding it the text of this article, including the comments as of Jan 6, 2015.

Introduction to SCENAR

The technology was originally developed for the Russian Space Program to help cosmonauts maintain their health while in space. From my reading it appears that it is not being used by their cosmonauts these days but many health facilities and multiple private individuals deploy this technology daily with a great success.

SCENAR is reported to be one of the most effective complementary therapies, with success reports ranging from simple injuries and pains to difficult neurological problems. It not only deals quickly with fresh injuries and acute pain, it helps resolve chronic issues where nothing else seems to work. SCENAR has been used successfully in the treatment of: Cardiovascular System, Dental Diseases, Endocrine System, Gastrointestinal System, Immune System, Musculoskeletal Disorders, Nervous System, Respiratory System and Urogenital System.

During a SCENAR session, the recipient feels only a gentle tingle and/or stroking sensation, as the device is moved over the spine, abdomen, infected area or other relevant portions of the bare skin. The SCENAR’s signals changes in response to body changes, thus preventing adaptation or habituation.

In a few words this is a very advanced biofeedback technology that has been polished for the last 40+ years, which interacts directly with the patient’s brain and activates their body’s healing mechanisms. The most recent generation of this technology called COSMODIC can even help body regenerate tissues and organs, and it accomplishes it rather fast. It can be used with great efficacy by medical professionals and lay persons. Some devices are more suitable for professionals and have more manual override modes, others have been designed to be almost fully automatic so that even a child or an elderly person could figure out how to use. How to Have a Better Bikram Yoga Experience

November 19, 2008 by stas | 23 Comments | Filed in Health, Physical

I’ve now been doing Bikram’s Yoga for about a year and a half, pretty much every other day or at least 3 times a week, with a 3-month break that I had after I had an ACL-replacement knee surgery. I wanted to share some insights I gained through the process.

I really like the practice, especially now that I get a grip of it with help of a few wonderful teachers that I was lucky to practice with, which unfortunately are hard to come by. Bikram Yoga helps me stay very fit, energized, my body is now very supple, but the most important of all it opens my heart, which allows the love to flow in.

So here are the lessons I wanted to share with you:

Ignore Your Teacher and Listen to Your Body

This is probably the most important lesson.

It’s important to realize that Bikram’s system has no beginner, intermediary and advanced levels – everybody does the same class together. Bikram’s classes are known to somewhat resemble military training. Go, go, go. Push, push, push. Die, die, die. And it’s true. The only difference is that you’re not in the military, you have a choice here.

What is Tantra Yoga?

October 22, 2008 by stas | No Comments | Filed in Sexual, Transformational

tantraWhat’s Tantra Yoga – An evening with Swami Vivekananda Saraswati, the founder of Agama Yoga.

Swami Vivekananda Saraswati gave a free talk on Tantra Yoga on Oct 22 2008 in Vancouver, Canada. I really enjoyed the 2.5 hours of Swami’s monologue, followed by Q&A. I found it to be very enlightening. His presence was very engaging and very down to earth. At the end he was very humble and refused applause. I’m looking forward to two weeks of workshops with him.

The following are my notes from his presentation, written through my perception filters, but otherwise uncensored.

The World of Duality

First Swami presented the duality of the world, which all religions and philosophies agree upon. One side of the world is a non-manifested reality (what mystics talk about) and the other is manifested (what we see and live) . Depending on the language, religion and teaching this pair is known as: nirvana/samsara, transcendental reality/eminent reality, spirit/nature, emptiness/fullness, Brahman/Maya, Shiva/Shakti. Most of us live in samsara, the lower, manifested world, and everybody earns to reach nirvana, the higher, non-manifested world.

Next comes the part that different religions/philosophies disagree upon. And that is the way to reach nirvana. The majority of teachings side with Vedantic way of reality (also known as classical spirituality, or ascetic view). In Vedantic language the two sides of the coin are Brahman (high) and Maya (low). The main postulates of Vedantic view on these two “worlds” are:

  • There is no interaction or connection between the two worlds
  • In order to reach nirvana one must leave Maya behind

Ginger Tea as a Cold Remedy and an Energizer for Low Energy Days

October 19, 2008 by stas | 3 Comments | Filed in Food

ginger-gingembreI discovered Ginger Tea while living in Montreal. I used to go to a local acupuncturist because I was low on energy. Besides doing the acupuncture, my practitioner recommended making Ginger Tea. I quickly fell in love with this drink because it tastes so good and works as a great energizer.

With time I also learned that it works amazingly well as a remedy for a Sore Throat, Congestion and Cough. Ginger also helps a lot with food digestion — which is why it gives body energy — the less energy body uses for digestion, the more of it is left for other uses.

Here’s the recipe for making an amazing Ginger Tea.
